Hi,
I would like to get the e-mail working, but it seems it insists on
authenticating but this is not supported in my corporate environment.
This is my mail settings in openppm.properties:
MAIL Configuration
Activate or disable notification REQUIRED
mail.notification=true
mail.smtp.host=exsmtp.de.bayer.cnb
mail.smtp.user=
mail.smtp.pass=
mail.smtp.no_reply=no-reply@hotmail.com
mail.smtp.port=25
mail.smtp.tls=false
Thise is the error I get back:
javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: No authentication mechansims
supported by both server and client
at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.protocolConnect(SMTPTransport.java:590)
Anyone any idea?

Hi, I’ve found out myself. The mail.jar accompanied with OpenPPM has a bug.
Read here:
No authentication mechanisms supported by both server and client when Configuring Microsoft Exchange SMTP Server
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/No+authentication+mechanisms+supported+by+both+server+and+client+when+Configuring+Microsoft+Exchange+SMTP+Server
Download the new mail.jar and replace the one of OpenPPM

Hi Marcus1911, thanks for the tip. I got my SMTP setting working as well.
